I kinda can see Ron't point.... If we remember non-existent racing experience of Kimi's when he got that Sauber drive... Rolling Eyes

Sauber was not a top team, they can always allow themselves to invite unexperienced drivers to 'train' them, and Ron signed Kimi only after a whole season with Sauber, so it's another thing

It's a question of faith in a driver's abilities, isn't it? Peter Sauber believed in Kimi, and Ron abviously believes in Lewis (otherwise he wouldn't look after him for the last decade). And I'm really sorry to say that at the current state of affairs in McLaren they are not championship-fighting team. They will be back, sure, but employing Lewis now is not going to dramatically affect their challenge for a championship, unfortunately Sad

I think Lewis will be ready for F1 ,I'm sure of it and I think he will be a very good team mate for Fernando and will maybe even beat him later the season Rolling Eyes

That guy IS ready for the Formule 1.. You dont learn much from being a driver at Midland or Super Aguri.. Thats not the place where you pass by for getting a seat at top teams anymore. It used to be that way but now its not happening anymore.

Youre talking about Hamilton being a thread to McLarens chances buts its like the same as giving Heikki the seat at Renault: You give a young toptalent a chance at topteam righteaway so no-one else can get to him first.
