well, apparently he is seeking legal advice from his team so that probaly means he WILL sue, yes

He's sueing because he's rubbish?
He had his chance and he didn't shine. He was in a car last year that won a grand prix and he barely got anything. He's been consitantly outperformed by his rookie team mate, he deserves to be replaced by someone who can score them some points.

Last year Vettel was clearly favoured in Toro Rosso, but Vettel is also faster than Bourdais...and faster than more than half of the grid. Still, Bourdais could have been easily on podium in Spa and Monza (in the Italian GP when he was last he was lapping faster than Vettel!) and lost two occasions not on his fault... then in Japan he was given an unfair penalty. In China and Brazil he lost points because of Trulli.

He's sueing Toro Rosso because they didn't respect his contract and moreover he was fired just when STR was going to receive the new updated car that could make he and Buemi enter top 10 probably. Now with Alguersuari it's only a loss of money because he needs to become accustomed to the car and with two rookies Toro Rosso is not facing a good ending of the year.

I think Sebastien Bourdais is an average driver...he's not a champion like Vettel or Hamilton, but he could be good for Toro Rosso. I'm really disappointed about the team dropping him.

I hope next year he will be on the grid with USF1 and can beat the Toro Rossos of damned Franz Tost.

It's just the same as Scott Speed...but at least he was replaced by a driver that had proved he was good and Scott had no points... Bourdais is just one point behind Buemi.

I honestly don't think that Bourdais should have been given the drive this year.
Yes, he did get an unfair penalty last year for the collision with Massa but he scored 4 points to his team mates 35. Vettel is a good driver - better than most - but I don't think you can put that down to Vettel being good... there must be something up with Bourdais.
I think if I was the boss I would have gotten rid of Bourdais at the end of last year and got in a new driver who could have got some testing time to get used the car. I feel sorry for poor Alguersuari having to get straight in without some testing time just beforehand.
Buemi - the rookie - has out qualified the more experienced Bourdais at all but two races so far... tell me something isn't wrong there.

to be honest it was very tough for bourdais from the outset. he was up against vettel, and that guy is quick. just because vettel is a rookie doesnt mean he has to be inexperienced and slow. we all know that some rookies are naturally talented and are able to race with the best and even make world champions think twice (not naming any names).

but all that being said the team cant afford to hold onto drivers that arent maximising their potential. f1 is extremely competitive, so you either perform, or you are out.

however i think torro rosso handled the situation very badly.

if i was bourdais though i would just slink away quietly and perhaps carry on fighting for a testing position or something at one of the other teams and then wait for my chance to get back into f1. i mean if bourdais really is a totally rubbish driver then he wouldnt have been in f1 in the first place. he isnt rubbish, he just has alot to learn.

but all the sueing nonsense is going to leave a bad taste and if i was bourdais i wouldnt bother with any of that. it wont help anyone and it will only come back to haunt him if he ever has another chance in f1.
