I'm going to suppose something.

Imagine Lewis had an accident and he couldn't drive for some GPs.
Imagine Lewis starts the World Championship in a very bad way, and Heikki doesn't.
Imagine Lewis wins all the races (4 or 5), but Heikki comes 2nd.
Imagine...

Can you say 'won't win as he...'? Come on, the team is British and German, Hamilton is British, but I've seen Finnish drivers with British team-mate performing in a very good way. Do you know why? Because they were better. If Heikki learns more and more ad he is able to transmit all his knowledge to his car, he will have chances if he is better than Lewis.

Of course, if he is worse than Lewis, he needs to be very lucky, which are the things I have 'supposed'. In 2008, Heikki hasn't been better than Lewis (even though he has been unlucky and the strategies weren't the best, but he hasn't been better), but that's normal if we understand the circustances for both of them. Maybe in 2009 things can change.

But most of times he hasn't been on top is because of Team Orders, Mechanical/Technical failures & Luck

I think he will be much more lucky - just as Kimi won the championship, but his 2008 season was cruel to him, He just didn't have the pace & also Team orders were used in many GP's(Chinese GP) and also Luck (Belgian GP) - where he could have won...

But this year was quite lucky for Lewis Hamilton - He didn't clinch the Drivers' last year but this year he just 'snatched' the Drivers' Championship from Felipe - On one side, The Ferrari garage is celebrating, but the next moment McLaren are celebrating!

You're right. With Kimi and Mika the team gave the same opportunities to both their drivers. Since last year the situation changed (even because Lewis was a bet of Ron Dennis...he won it, but to win his bet with Mercedes-Benz and other McLaren members he had to give him the best changes, by disadvantaging his team mates: Alonso and then Kovalainen).

I always like McLaren by the way..but with last year spy story and the fact that Alonso complained about Lewis having better chances (in the last races Alonso was bound to qualify with a heavier car and with a lap less during Q3) McLaren lost something.

[by the way I think that the spy story was nothing more than other things that normally happen in F1, even by Ferrari. The FIA wanted to punish McLaren, and normally drivers defend their teams..while Alonso didn't - and maybe after all he was right]

I hope that next year Heikki will have better possibilities...and I'm confident he will Wink
