The 2008 Formula 1 campaign saw some of the best on-track action in years, and 2009 - with its new aerodynamic regulations - promises to be even better still.

From Lewis Hamilton's fearless attacking nature to title rival Felipe Massa's audacious first corner move all the way around the outside of the new F1 World Champion in the Hungarian Grand Prix, the season very much seemed to add weight to the old adage that 'he who dares wins'.

There was also, of course, 2007 king Kimi Raikkonen's bold pass on Ferrari team-mate Massa on the opening lap of the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps, Fernando Alonso's heroics in the final corners of the same race, Heikki Kovalainen's side-by-side duel with Robert Kubica at Hockenheim, Nick Heidfeld's supreme brace of double passes in torrential conditions at Silverstone - and, last but by no means least, the late move by Sebastian Vettel on Hamilton in the season finale in Brazil that so very nearly cost the Briton the drivers' laurels.

Hamilton, Massa, Raikkonen, Alonso, Heidfeld, Vettel, Kovalainen - or someone else..?
