Well guys, crunch time for us again - what will Heikki be doing next year? (I personally was under impression he was under 2 year contract, but nevermind Rolling Eyes ).

The decision supposedly is to be announced over the Italian GP wek-end. Fingers crossed for our hero!

In the meantime, there is an interesting poll going on at

The question is - If you are in charge at Renault - who would you keep for 2008? Heikki, Fisi, or both? Get voting, and see the results Wink

If Alonso comes back then Heikki goes to number two. ((( I think Flav waiting for Alonso.

The question is - if Alonso is coming back, who is leaving... Rolling Eyes Can't think why Renault would want to ditch HK! So I'm trying to be confident Wink

I really don't which drivers briatore is going to choose...Confused I don't see alonso coming back to renault so then there is heikki, fisi and nelson left.
I think heikki stays (*crossing fingers*), 'cause heikki did a good job this year. Nelson deserves a chance, but I'm not sure if briatore wants two young drivers in the racing seats. And fisi....yeah well....I just don't know Laughing At the moment I think Heikki and Fisi just stay where they are, but I hope Heikki and Nelson get the seats. I'm quite curious Very Happy

Great great great Razz
This is really great that Alonso had a victory. The gap is only 3 point now. But why im so happy for that, i dont know. I'm Renault Fan Razz

Ferrari must be so frustrated. What a shame, in their home race McLaren had a double. But spy scandal harm them so much. They win but people always think that how can they won...

Another 7th: not too bad. But, with a few laps more, Heikki could have arrived in front of Rosberg.
Anyway, Heikki is constantly ahead of Fisichella, what I expected from him since the beginning.
The point is that Renault is NOT what I expected... Evil or Very Mad

I think these results mean Fisico came to the end. He start from 15th and with 1 pit stop strategy he could only be 13th. Heikki is rookie but he drive R27 better than him. At the start of the season i supposed Heikki will be back but he is so talented although he drives R27...

I thought I read on several sites that Renault was going to annouced their drivers line up for next year during the Italian GP....but it has been a silent weekend Confused Maybe Flavio's plan was to continue with fisi and heikki, but now he changed his mind Laughing

Maybe this could be a reason:

"Fernando, Is it true that you said to a spanisch newspaper, you will drive for Renault or you will make a break next year?"

"No that's not true."

"So you're staying with the team?"

"I'm staying in forumula one."

Yes, I agree.
I think that Briatore is waiting for Alonso.

Anyway I think that Fisichella is on the "sunset boulevard".
I was sure that Heikki would have been much faster than him, and I was a little disapponted when, in the first races, he was not.

Renault should substitute Fisico with someone else, maybe Piquet jr., even though I think that at least one of the two drivers should be more experienced.

The best team for Renault for 2008 is Alonso-Kovalainen: Heikki could learn a lot from a champion like him.

Now Heikki is an experienced driver, so the team doesn't have to wait for anyone else... Rolling Eyes
