i've heard from the aussie commentators that nico may be moving to brawn and barichello to williams..is it just me, or does this sound a bit far-fetched? especially because barichello has brought some brilliant results for the brawn team? _________________ YAY FOR FORMULA 1!!! |

The other day I saw Heikki on the TV, and it was the first time I felt he was really 'down'. I guess his situation is very difficult, and latest rumours and news haven't helped at all.
Sharing box with a driver like Hamilton is not easy if you take into account that Lewis is veeeeery fast. Unfortunately, if you are on a top team, your margin of confidence is not normally high and when you don't get results, your chances of staying are very low.
In F1, almost everything is about results, and Heikki doesn't have them.
Rosberg is going to Brawn, Alonso is going to Ferrari, which means Kimi has to look for a team or leaving F1, and Haug has said very good words about Kimi, so white and inside a bottle, it must be milk.
I'll wait until McLaren announces the drivers for 2010, but it doesn't seem Heikki will be among 'us' next year. |

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
In Spain we say: 'When the river sounds, there must be water in it', and when Whitmarsh says what he has said...
Maybe Heikki stays for 2010... |

There is not 1st and 2nd driver, Hamilton is normally faster in the races, because he is faster. Heikki has other good things (Few mistakes, really fast in one lap, for example).
Ok, I can admit that if there is something 'new' (Like in Germany, for example), Hamilton is the first one to use it, and I can admit Hamilton 'is special' for McLaren. But there is a big difference between that and marking clearly the roles in the team.
Heikki is a good driver and he still can improve to be better, the ''problem'' is that Lewis is a very good driver and it makes Heikki seem worse than he really is.
Light plus light can give you darkness, if you have 2 excelent drivers (2007), maybe you get nothing. I am really happy with Lewis and Heikki, they work together and they have a good relationship, we won last year the WDC, and this year the team has been able to recover from an awful start better than any team. (Hey, and I don't want to forget Pedro de la Rosa)
So fingers crossed: 'If something works, don't change it' |

I think (Maybe I am wrong) one week ago it was 'Out', now 'In' seems more feasible. I don't know the reason of that, but it's what it seems. |

Yes. Lewis, Heikki and Pedro are a very good team. (I would say even Gary, but he drives very little)
For me Heikki has never been "out"...Whitmarsh always spoke about the possibility of going on with the saim pair of drivers. He said he could have been a bit better this year (I don't think so, he only mistook in Malaysia, where he could have been 8th if everything went fine... then in Monaco, he could have been 6th... and yesterday he crashed in qualifying) _________________ "Ayrton Senna was an extraordinary racing driver. I heard yesterday that the possibilities were Renault, Manor (new team) or leaving F1. I think he should go back to Renault. He was brought through the ranks by them and seemed happier. I don't think any driver will get on at Maclaren whilst Lewis is there - which is going to be a long time! They say there is no 1st and 2nd driver but they couldn't even get behind alonso properly and he's a double world champion. Heikki seems to be unconfident in the team - rather than uncomfortable. He needs a team that is not all focused on one side of the garage. The Maclaren car was built for Hamilton - and his driving style - not Heikki's.
Whatever happens, I hope he goes to a team that helps his confidence increase, cause thats what he seems to need. I think Heikki is a brilliant driver - and we seeing flahes of it at the minute but not the whole package.
Just my opinion! |

I think this is already decided. Heikki wont stay in Mclaren. And personally, I am glad. Lewis is obviously faster, but try to compare Heikki at the beggining of 2008 season and now. Itīs not the same person. And if you really watch his situation, you must know why. The team really DOESNT treat its drivers as equal, not on the track only, but overall. Im not that kind of person who talks about conspirations, this is a fact.
So I hope Heikki will really leave McLaren. The problem is, I have no idea where he is going to race next year....And probably he doesnt know neither. Williams seems to be a possibility if they decide to kick out Nakajima. or Toyota. Or Renault. I dont think they wont want Heikki because of his exmanager....it has nothing to do with his skills |

I haven't read those 'bad' things from Heikki's mouth.
Not about the 'preferences', just about if he wants to stay or not. |
