|
|
I found it on Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! | , here is Heikki's top ten tunes
1. Bye Bye Beautiful - Nightwish
"My favourite song is from a band I've loved for ages. I saw them play in a small arena in Finland and they were simply incredible."
2. The Poet and the Pendulum - Nightwish
"Nightwish again, but this one's over 13 minutes long with different tempos, melodies, great lyrics; a bit of everything. It's totally my type of music."
3. Let Me Entertain You - Robbie Williams
"I'm not sure about his lycra outfit in the video, but I love this song. I've yet to see him play live but I'm certain he'd be fantastic."
4. Message in a Bottle - The Police
"I went to see The Police play at Madison Square Gardens last year after I ran the New York marathon and they were really fantastic – better than on the CD. After Nightwish, I'd say they're the best live band I've seen."
5. Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N' Roses
"A great song, mainly because of the guitar solos. I don't play guitar myself, but I did play the drums for a band while I was at school."
6. Wicked Game - HIM
"This a cover version of Chris Isaak's hit song. HIM are a Finnish rock band and, for me, the lead singer Ville Valo has an even better voice than Isaak."
7. We're Gonna Win - Bryan Adams
"I'm an ice hockey fan and this song is played a lot at matches. The lyrics are really motivating, great for psyching yourself up and making you want to get out there and go for it."
8. Stormwind - Ari Koivunen
"This guy won the Finnish Idol contest in 2007. He's a heavy rocker and this track is the best song off his album Fuel For The Fire. The lyrics are very good, too."
9. Bat Out of Hell - Meatloaf
"I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That) is a great karaoke tune, but of all Meatloaf's songs my favourite is Bat out of Hell. It's got fantastic instrumental styles and is just great music."
10. For Whom the Bell Tolls - Metallica
"We used to play Metallica's songs when I was in a band and this is a real classic. They've been around for a long time, but they're total legends."
It's not my sort of music, but I like Bat out of hell, We're gonna win and Let me entertain you [/b] _________________ Formula 1 is not a sport, Formula 1 is a lifestyle

I saw Nightwish at a really small venue in London a few years ago. I wouldn't normally choose music of that genre but Bye Bye Beautiful is a great song.

I love Nightwish, too. I saw them in Februrary in Stuttgart in concert and they were really great! _________________ ***If you want to win, take a Finn!***

We don't have F1 until January-February with the preseason tests, so if you want the forum to be 'alive' during these months, we'll have to think a bit. |
on 8.11. it's stars and cars of mercedes...then on 14th of december race of champions...so many events...so don't worry _________________ ***10000000000% heikki fan**

I think we should compare our own top 10's to be honest.
And no taking influences from Heikki's top 10. If more than 3 of same songs are in the same order we will know something is going on lol.
Someone else can go first. I'll do mine in my free tomorrow. _________________ Mini: 'How dare you go out when Monaco is on?!'

EDIT: Decided to give you youtube videos, like someone else after me did.
Okay then... I'll go first.
1. The Ark - It Takes A Fool To Remain Sane. Beautiful song, beautiful lyrics and a beautiful voice.

2. OneRepublic - Come Home. I love OneRepublic in general, but this is my favourite.

3. Enrique Iglesias - Hero. Might be a bit cheesy but its one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

4. Counting Crows - Accidentally In Love. SHREK Mine and a friends song, and recently how I've been feeling.

5. Meat Loaf (now I'm going to cheat, because I couldn't choose just one or more than one without filling my list).
Life Is A Lemon and I Want My Money Back.

6. Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - The Boy From The Chemist Is Here To See You - 80's electro-pop that makes me feel good about myself.
Can't seem to find this one, but if you want it, pm me
7. Madina Lake - Now or Never. 'I remember when you told me, I should live like I'm dying.'

8. The Used - Blue and Yellow. 'Should have said something but I said it enough...'

9. Kaiser Cheifs - Never Miss A Beat. My dance song. Lively, catchy and a good true message.

And my guilty pleasure...
10. Pussycat Dolls - When I Grow Up. Everyone has a shameful song that they love. (Lewis Hamilton would be proud anyway.) And, I've said many times, don't you have to be grown up to have a 23 year old toy boy?

Not quite making the list include: Bryan Adam's Summer of 69, Bon Jovi's Living In Sin, The Ark's The Others and Justin Timberlake's Sexyback . I clearly just extended my list.
What would Heikki think of that do you think? _________________ Mini: 'How dare you go out when Monaco is on?!'

1. Smooth - Santana and Rob Thomas: This song reminds me of the Summer and just makes me want to dance!
2. Maybe Tomorrow - Stereophonics: I never tire of listening to this song.
3. Dream Catch Me - Newton Faulkner: The words to this song are beautiful.
4. Rewind - Stereophonics: The first time I heard this song it really made me think. You should live every day like it's your last.
5. My Immortal - Evanesence: Amy's voice is amazing and I think everyone has at one point in their life felt everythig that she's singing about.
6. Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol: This reminds me of someone very special.
7. Angel of Harlem - U2: A song which must be sung at full pelt and played very, very loudly!
8. Stuck On You - Lionel Richie: My guilty pleasure!
9. Last Request - Paolo Nuttini: This guy has the most incredible voice.
10. Iris - The Goo Goo Dolls: Doesn't everyone like this song??! |

I'll post mine... but it can be difficult to choose 10 songs and order them. I'll try anyway. |
