My money's on Kovy. Wet or dry. He's been quite hard to overtake.
That was very interesting, and it should be a very interesting race tomorrow. I can't wait. What will happen if they all run out of extreme wet tyres? They could all end up crashing. That could be quite entertaining.
What happened to Hamilton and Raikkonen? It's quite funny actually, even though they are my second and third favourite drivers respectively.
Congrats to Vettel on a brilliant job. And lets hope that the race is as exciting as the qualifying. _________________ Mini: 'How dare you go out when Monaco is on?!'

An enjoyable Qualifying session.
I think almost everybody is glad to see Vettel on pole, when you see a modest or a 'medium-grid' team achieving things like a pole, you realize how difficult is that.
Heikki did a great session, unluckily he couldn't beat Vettel's time at the end, but he hadn't any problem to give good laps arround the track, and that's very possitive. Tomorrow options are high, specially if we have a dry track. The 3 cars which can have his rythm are far from Heikki's car, at least, two.
Kimi, Lewis, Robert... at the end of the Q2 was impossible to improve your time, so nothing changed. They were out, and finally the situation remained on the same way.
Tomorrow race is going to be exciting, most of the good cars are on the middle part of the grid, and some weak cars are on the top, so everything can happen. Dry or wet. |

Nice race, the best of the season, definetly.
I can't write anything about Sebastian's victory, another person would do it better than me.
Heikki, he needed the podium and his race was a good one, I am happy with his result, it's important. Anyway, he didn't seem to be very happy in the podium, so maybe he felt he could achieve the victory and something has avoided it. Or maybe he is just getting more serious, I don't know.
Kubica, Alonso, Heidfeld, they were lucky with the strategy, they changed the tyres when they had to...
Massa, I have felt that he wanted to play to 0-0, nothing specially good, nothing specially bad, and at the end he gets one point more than Hamilton.
Hamilton, he is very good in wet conditions and we've checked it today again, the best race of the day after Vettel's one.
See you in Singapore! |

How far did Piquet go into the race before he pitted? He must have had a massive fuel tank.
Very well done to Vettel, very well deserved. Nice to hear the German/Italian anthem combination for someone other than Schumacher.
The three guys up on the podium had all won one Grand Prix each. Bit of useless knowledge for you there .
Why did Massa have to change his engine? Didn't that engine only do Saturday? That's not a good sign for Ferrari.
Kimi Raikkonen's race was woeful, but once again he seemed to switch on in the last part of the race, he needs to sort that out I think. He has got 9 fastest laps so far this season though. If they gave a point for the fastest lap in Formula One like in GP2, he wouldn't be so far behind .
My driver of the day has to be Lewis Hamilton. I know he didn't win and the weather meant he had to pit for tyres and he couldn't make the podium, but the way he came back through the field really impressed me. And he only finished one place behind Massa, so he's still leading the championship (even if it is only just).
From a McLaren point of view in the WCC it was a good race. They scored 10 points to Ferrari's 3 and are only 5 points behind them now.
I really think Heikki should have won the race though. He had the pace in qualifying and should have had it in the race, Lewis did very well, why couldn't Heikki match that? _________________ Mini: 'How dare you go out when Monaco is on?!'

well heikki did match lewis' performance in a sense. he maintained his position and helped improve mclarens standings in the wcc, but vettel was just too quick. he had clear air ahead of him and didnt have to worry about traffic, good pits and so was basically impossible to catch.
maybe heikki could have done a bit more on his first stint to keep pace but conditions werent good and he does tend to be conservative i think. thats one difference between lewis and heikki. lewis goes for broke and takes risks (sometimes which dont pay off) whereas heikki is sometimes more cautious.. some might say hesitant. still, it was a great race.
i was wondering, vettel is leaving toro rosso at the end of this season and today they said that bourdais hasnt has his contract renewed yet. so who is racing for the team next year? or did i miss something _________________

First I thought it would improve after a few laps, but it didn't. Only at the end was I able to match the lap times of Sebastian Vettel in front of me. In today's conditions he was just too fast for me..." |
