Ok, you might think I am stupid, but I dont understand why Heikki has number 23 this season....I thought I knew how the numbers are given to drivers but if I was right then he should have an even number. And the second thing - there were 22 drivers at the start of this season so why he has 23?
I hope there are many more intelligent people on this forum who can tell me Cool

Not sure about odd and even number thing, but can explain why his car is no.23 when it's only 22 drivers. That's because no.13 is missing!! superstitions, maybe.... Rolling Eyes

there i have an answer for the 13 Smile

The number 13 has not been in use in Formula One racing since 1976 and has only twice made an appearance at racetracks in the World Championship.

Moises Solana raced with the number 13 on his car at the 1963 Mexican Grand Prix for Scuderia Centro Sud in a BRM. He qualified 11th on the grid and also happened to finish the race placed in 11th spot after only finishing 57 laps after which he experienced an engine failure.

At the British Grand Prix of 1976 when Divina Galica attempted and failed to qualify in a Surtees Cosworth, she was also carrying the number 13 on her car. She qualified in 28 spot but only 26 cars were to take part in the race.

And that was the last time we saw the number 13 in Formula One racing. And it seems as if it will never make an appearance again.

Formula 1 teams are now no longer given the number 13 when car numbers are given out to them. The team now finishing seventh in the previous year's championship will take numbers 14 and 15 as opposed to 13 and 14.

I didn't know anyone else did but I saw Louise from ITV getting all excited about Jenson's grid boy.
He wasn't even that nice.

Yeah. I think it was Lella Lombardi. She scored 0.5 point in the 1975 Spanish Grand Prix.
