I was so lucky last Saturday!!! I had a surprise organised for me by my hubby and Andy himself, when Andy took me for a spin in his racing car (or rather it's twin sister, only with a passenger seat fitted) on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit. I had no idea up until the point when I was asked to put overalls on, and I was asking - What for??? The look on my face provided much amusement to everyone present on the pit-lane at the time, including Andy himself! The ride was brilliant, with overalls, balaclava, helmet and.. my very own very fireproof sandals According to hubby Andy made the most agressive dash out of the pits with me in the car, and I think of all 7-8 people who were given a taxi ride Andy personally knew only me, so he was out to give me his best Apparently, it was also his decision to give me a ride in a racing car as opposite to the normal road car. I loved every second of it!!! He was so quick it's impossible to describe, his work behind the wheel is unbelievable! couple of times I thought we were definitely going to crash, but somehow he made it around the corner - maybe he tried it on purpose to scare me, but instead I applauded him on the straight!! I thought that we won't make the pit entrance, the wall was approaching so fast, but Andy obviously knew what he was doing and delivered us back to pits safely ))
He also later wrote in his blog:
| Quote: | | I hope all those people who I have seen over the past few days had as much fun as I did. I may have frightened some of them with taxi rides, but hope that will be a ride to remember. It was great fun to take one of my fans for a spin, Iryna Vale. I also want to thank Iryna and her husband David – they are the guys at every race with the big Guernsey flag in the grandstand – for giving me the lovely prints of a painting depicting my third world title in Macau and also the very generous donation to the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation. | Whoever typed it got my name wrong, (corrected here ) but they are not the first and definitely not the last to get it wrong

Thank you!! It was incredible, I won't forget that, ever!
I was very happy to trust Andy, he's the best in the world, after all, so even when I thought we could crash I was not afraid, because I trusted him he's awesome in a car, and I feel so priviledged to witness how he works!!! Believe it or not, I am still smiling!! some might think I'm mad...
PS added you too! |

Mad?!?! Whaha, if that happend to me, the smile wouldn't be wiped off of my face for weeks!!
I can so imagine you'll never forget this. If you'd be put in the car of Driver-X you'd be over the moon already, but if it's your guy driving you around, well that's gotta be even more special!!
In DTM you can win taxi rides. I always enter, but never win *sigh* Well, I might win, but usually I forget when they announce the winners and if I remember, there's action on track, so you can't understand who won! Might have won a couple of times already this year _________________
