ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, I cant describe how happy I am....he really deserves it. Of course I am a bit sad because of Massas misfortune, but hey, thats sport!
And I strongly believe that its just a beggining Very Happy Heikki couldnt have chosen better time for his first win now, when he is announced in McLaren for the next season.....

Awesome! Very Happy

I had to go out for lunch half-way through the race. When we left it, it looked like Flip (!) was going to just have to get to the end to win, with Heikki 2nd and Lewis lucky to get in the points.

What a second half to come back to!!! I feel a little sorry for Felipe, but after all the bad luck this season, Heikki deserved to inherit a little bit of good luck. A faultless drive, and a much-deserved win.

Great drive by Timo too to finish 2nd in a relatively 'normal' race.

But CONGRATULATIONS HEIKKI!!!

(He wasn't leaping around like a lunatic as much as I expected though. Hopefully he was just savouring the moment and taking it all in Cool )

I was jumping up and down.
My parents had to tell me to shut up eventually.
And I had to watch it back later. I was sat in the pub and it was on the screen in the other half of the pub near the pool tables and my cousin's husband started talking about it. All I heard was 'Kovalainen' and 'he's still in the lead of the drivers championship though'. So I knew something was going to happen to Massa.
But my dad had already told me the start... Evil or Very Mad with 'Flip' getting past Hamilton, and guess what? He blamed it on Heikki as usual. 'Kovalainen should have been there to stop it.' He's not a supporting driver, and I think he proved that today with his win. I couldn't be happier for him.
And well done to Timo Glock! And he didn't manage second on mostly luck like Piquet, he drove to that and it was a brilliant podium for him. Driver of the day Very Happy
I loved that race Very Happy. Best one I've seen in a while.
First of what should be many many wins for Heikki Very Happy

Heikki, they say that the first victory makes a driver stronger. Do you think that will happen to you also?
HK: It certainly won’t make me any weaker!

Very Happy

Q. (Erkki Mustakari – STT) Heikki, the next race will be in three weeks. That gives you two and a half weeks to celebrate. How are you going to celebrate your first Formula One win?

HK: Any ideas, Kimi?

KR: I will take him out.

Heikki is 100th driver to win a F1 gp

Heikki this year, had 1 win, 1 pole, 1 fastest lap, 1 retirement. In his career he had 1 win, 1 2nd place, 1 3rd place, 1 pole and 1 fastest lap.

9/11 fastest laps this year were made by Finns. 8/11 by Kimi. 2/11 by Heidfeld. Kimi is about to set the record, with most fastest lap in one season.
Schumacher and Kimi both have record with 10 fastest laps.

Heidfeld is far the most sucesfull driver in f1 with no win. 2nd is Brundle, and 3rd Webber. Heikki was getting closer and closer to them, but then he won.

In next race, the number of people with theoretical chance of winning the world championship, will fall from 6,500,000,000 to about 20. Because now, its possible to get 70 points, so anyone in the world could join some team, and win 7 races with very much bad luck of best drivers. But its just theoretical. Smile
