I've been to Düsseldorf yesterday for the DTM Press Conference with Ralf Schumacher and Mattias Ekström and it was wicked!

I was there well on time and Mattias was there as well, walking his dog and all that, so I just walked a bit around and then went inside the town hall for the press conference.

Had to mention my name and woohoo! I was on the list and was allowed to go in and officially bug Ralf!

Snatched myself a DTM Magazin, a pen and some other information and installed myself in the middle of the room. Not the wisest place in the end, as I could have better sat all the way up front, but I never do that at school, so I didn't do it here either. Not so clever!! Learning moment for next time

Mattias and Ralf were wandering around, chatting to people and then went out to do a TV interview.
Afterwards it was time for the photoshoot and OMG! That was hilarious!

Here I was, with my simple, relatively small Kodak Z740, in between all of these HUGE professional cameras! *snort*

And all of those photographers were acting really stressy

(By that time, Mattias was long inside the townhall again, getting warm and drying up as it was raining...)

Then the official press co started and boy, did I drift off there! The Düsseldorf Sport City chat was SO dull that I forgot to write stuff down. Of course my MP3 was taping the press co, and I had my camera in my left hand to film the stuff Mattias and Ralf said, but still I missed bits and pieces (Oh, and how's that for being multifunctional? )

Afterwards we could have a chat with the press co people and practically anyone ran over to Ralf, so I opted for Mattias and bugged him for a bit.

Then checked out the buffet they had set up for us, enjoyed a tasty soup and went inside to check whether Ralf was about to be done, but no, still people waiting. I decided not to ask him questions as the most important stuff I wanted to ask him, had been asked in the press co already. So I left the press co and noticed Mattias was gone as well! Poor guy, are you the reigning DTM champ, is there a snotty rookie that's drawing all the attention towards him!
