Only a few days and we know who will be World Champion 2007!
I read some interesting statistics today.
1950, 1959, 1964, 1968, 1974, 1981, 1983, 1986: At this years three driver were fighting for the title at the last race.
But only three times (1959, 1968, 1974) the championship leader became champion.
Four times (1964, 1981, 1983, 1986) the second of the championship became champion.
And only one time (1950) the third got it.
Well I like this.. |

On a similar theme, I found this posted on another board:
Hamilton will win the title if:
He finishes fifth and Alonso does not win or come second.
He finishes sixth or seventh, Alonso is not in the top two and Raikkonen does not win.
He finishes eighth, Alonso does not secure a podium place and Raikkonen does not finish first or second.
He fails to score points, Alonso finishes no higher than fifth, and Raikkonen does not win or come second.
Alonso will win the title if:
He wins the race and Hamilton is third or lower.
He finishes second and Hamilton is sixth or lower.
He is third, Hamilton is out of the top seven, and Raikkonen does not win.
He is fourth, Hamilton does not score points and Raikkonen does not either win or finish second.
Raikkonen will win the title if:
He wins, Hamilton is out of the top five and Alonso does not finish second.
He finishes second, Hamilton is eighth or lower, and Alonso is not on the podium. _________________ Mark, Lewis, Heikki --> My ideal podium for the 2007 season.

Each to their own, Rach! The world would be a boring place if we all agreed on everything! _________________ Mark, Lewis, Heikki --> My ideal podium for the 2007 season.

Wow, Lewis is a lucky guy today My god that's a relief! Otherwise it would have been a really bad start of the weekend...
from GPupdate
| Quote: | Lewis Hamilton was fined 15,000 euro for using two sets of wet tyres in Friday's first free practice sessions. The race stewards in Brazil came to this decision after a meeting with Hamilton on Friday evening.
With the 15,000 euro penalty the young Briton escaped a serious penalty as the race stewards might as well hand out a grid penalty for not obeying the rules. In that case his championship title would be in danger. But it turned out as a rather light penalty for Hamilton.
After having discussed what happened with all three drivers involved (Hamilton, Button, Sato) the stewards decided the teams will have to give back the extra set of wet weather tyres they used and to pay a 15,000 euro penalty.
And thus the fans will keep an exciting end of the season with three drivers fighting for pole position, a race win and the 2007 Formula 1 championship title.

Before this decision by the stewards, Ron Dennis said this in a interview and it was actually quite funny:
I hope they don't take all our constructorspoints away......oh they already did!!! _________________ If you think racing is safe, than you're not going fast enough... |

I also heard the rumours that FIA asked McLaren to ask Lewis not to do anything way too exciting if he wins the championship tomorrow, things like donuts etc.... This is stupid, I'm sorry! If he wins, he's a young man, and he will be over the moon, he just CAN'T walk around in straight jacket!!!!! McLaren confirmed FIA contacted them, but said that some of this was not true. But some - was! Well, will just have to wait and see )) |

I think that potato looks like Fisi's drawing of Heikki in F1 Racing magazine!
Bad qualifying for Heikki, let's hope for a better race... |
