I've heard about that too.
I read that he said that he wasn't thinking about that yet, he was focusing on the 2008 season at the moment and he would think about that when the time came. And if Ferrari decided to renew his contract then he would stay with Ferrari. If not, he may look somewhere else, or he may decide to retire. But right now he's focused on the job ahead.
I'd be disappointed if he retired, he's a good driver, but he is world champion now, and it all depends on how much longer he wants to be an F1 driver.

PostPosted: Tue Dec 02, 2008 3:13 pm    Post subject: No place for Rossi in F1 – Briatore Reply with quote

Quote:
Renault boss Flavio Briatore says he would not offer Valentino Rossi a Formula One race seat.

"I would not give him a car," fellow Italian Briatore confirmed to the newspaper Il Riformista.

Rossi, 29, flirted seriously with a switch from MotoGP to F1 with Ferrari a few years ago. Recently, after another Ferrari test to celebrate his latest title, he left the door open to racing in Formula One after he retires from motorcycles, perhaps in 2011.

Briatore said: "He belongs to the world of bikes. There, he is without an equal, and some say that without him MotoGP would not be half of what it is.
"
Briatore, however, confessed that Rossi's flamboyant personality would be ‘very good’ for Formula One.

"He appeals to everyone, as a rock star does."

Rossi is an Italian talent..but in MotoGp! He should stay where he is.

Briatore is right, as F1 and MotoGp are very different... and unless your name is John Surtees it's hard to succeed in both Laughing

I Agree with Flavio, He should stay in MotoGp - He shouldn't like come into F1 and neither should other drivers from other series's like...

Sebastien Loeb -> WRC

Quote:
Deposed world champion Kimi Raikkonen has spent much of the time since the last race of 2008 in his native Finland.

Reports from the Nordic country reveal the 29-year-old is in Helsinki, Finland's capital which is a short distance from Raikkonen's birthplace of Espoo.

He was photographed training with a local ice-hocking team, with whom he is friends with some of the players.

The tabloid Iltalehti said that, while in Helsinki, Raikkonen has also organised to sell one of his three houses near the Finnish city.

The eight-bedroom house on the exclusive island suburb of Kaskisaari was reportedly put on the market by Raikkonen, who lives mainly in Switzerland, for 14.5 million euros.

According to the newspaper, some foreign embassies have expressed interest in the property.

The rumors about Kimi and Jenni have nothing to do with reality, don´t even bother reading them Wink

Ferrari slipping behind in KERS race: Magneti Marelli playing catch-up
Aldo Costa, Ferrari's Technical Director, has singled out 'the famous KERS' as the most challenging aspect of the 2009 regulations.

"It has to be compact and lightweight, affecting the handling of the car as little as possible,"
he told Italy's La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Costa reveals that, to date, Ferrari has not track-tested its KERS system for 2009, and the debut of the energy-recovery technology is not due to arrive this week at Jerez or at the final test of the year at Portugal's new Algarve track.

Germany's Auto Motor und Sport reports that Ferrari and electronics partner Magneti Marelli's main problem is with the electric motor.

Ferrari spokesman Luca Colajanni confirmed: "We will begin testing KERS with our new car."

The F2009 is scheduled to roll out in January, and it is understood that Ferrari has not decided whether to target the first race of the 2009 season for the system's debut.
