BMW is going to use their "horse-blinders" wings.... But, hey, is it the some that were banned in Arrows by FIA in somewhat Monaco? Strange... I bet - several laps on practice and then dismounted with label "no significant advantage"...

they call them Twin Towers, I assume?

wonder what aerodynamical advantages they gain from using these wings, because it doesn't seem to have any advantages and the car looks ugly! Very ugly!

Don't want to be in place of a driver then some of these Twins would drop on the braking before Adelaide chicane Rolling Eyes

I'll try to be clever and guess that these ugly things will give more stability to the front of the car Rolling Eyes

well if they somehow cut the airflow into three separate flows and it helps the car be both quick and stable, then..

I reckon they will stay until the first one falls off, and then they will be banned Laughing

Well, clever enough)) Now it's my turn and I'd say.... I'd say... that it weights a lot and this is another attempt to stabilize the front of the car by creating extra downforce (in the world of poor aerodinamical rules))

PS is it unnecessary to test this malasian twins in vertical crash-test? (another a la Indy GP Nick's overturn and who knows how the construction reacts)

So you reckon they are not made of carbon-fibre? Because they certainly look like they are, and carbon-fibre doesn't weight anything Rolling Eyes

The system Arrows used in Monaco was still a bit different. It was quite dangerous because it had a horizontal bar on it as well...

The more a car gets such things the slower it goes!

Look at Renault&Ferrari, they are not overloaded with flaps, wings,... and they are the fastest. **couch-Mclaren** Razz

yeh and having the best car at the end Razz

Nah they are just experimenting with those things if it will help (remember the Whale nose of BMW Williams 2 or 1 year ago? Very Happy )

They quickened the progress for finding a better nose after a few races.
